The International Exhibition "Integrated Safety and Security 2011" became the largest event in the field of security and safety in Russia

The 4-th International Exhibition "Integrated Safety and Security 2011" has finished its work. The quantity of exhibitors and visitors, the total area of the exhibition and scale of the business program have confirmed the status of ISSE being largest event in the field of security and safety in Russia.

"The salon gains strength and authority, and now, it has become a leading platform of Europe on issues of providing safety ", - the Vice Premier Sergey Ivanov said at the opening ceremony of the "ISSE 2011". His words were supported by the Minister of Internal Affairs Rashid Nurgaliev and the Head of the Russian EMERCOM Sergey Shojgu. The fact is over 447 exhibitors from 17 countries of the world: Austria, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Italy, Canada, China, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, the USA, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland and France has taken part in ISSE 2011 this year to demonstrate its modern achievements and developments in the field of security. During the four days ISSE 14 252 Russian and foreign experts in the field of safety and security have visited the exhibition .

In comparison with last year, the area of the exposition and quantity of platforms for discussion has grown twice – the exhibition total area has gained 25 500 sq.m. The Organizers of exhibition - the EMERCOM of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia - attracted leading experts and developers of means of safety and security from the different countries to participate in the show. Within the framework of ISSE exposition it was possible to see "new technologies, information-telecommunication systems which allow to operate the crisis processes in real time mode, taking place in this or that sphere in this or that point of our country", - Sergey Shojgu has stressed. ”The majority of the presented technologies and equipment are not individual samples - this is industrial production, which we are starting now", - the Head of the Russian EMERCOM pointed out.

Rashid Nurgaliev has also pointed out the variety and importance of the shown equipment: "It replaces people and human work considerably". In danger zones or during the liquidation of consequences of anthropogenic catastrophes the UAVs, like the flying machine which has brought a red tape for the exhibition opening ceremony, are capable of helping people and saving their lives. Systems of fire supervision and alarm systems, robotics systems, heavy vehicles making their way through the deep forest to extinguish the fires or those lifting ladders up to 60 meters- all these and many other exhibits were shown by companies participating in ISSE-2011.

For example, GAS and "Ural" companies have shown several variants for patrol equipment and fire-fighting in the forests and in infrastructure. While at ISSE, developers have also shown interesting and extraordinary designs: a floatable boat which can resist very strong waves, spheres filled with a special powder to bomb the fire area, which is capable of extinguishing the fires of 8 sq.m. area.

"According to statistics, for last year seven largest extreme natural and anthropogenic catastrophes have occurred, - Sergey Shojgu informed. - All this forces those, who practically are engaged in liquidation, prevention, the forecast of emergency situations to move all further forward in the field of creation of the new technologies, the new equipment, new manufactures". This also adds up to minimization and prevention of the accidents.

Experts in the field of safety and security developed the ways of joint struggle against the disaster consequences during the seminars and round tables of the business program of ISSE 2011. With support of the Russian EMERCOM, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the state company ”Rosoboronexport” 36 events of the business program have taken place, among them there were congresses, scientific and practical conferences, seminars, round table talks and presentations. All visitors underlined the importance of the complex approach in solving and provision of safety and security issues.

The final day of the show the large-scale troops training of special divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the EMERCOM of Russia have taken place. UAVs, fire planes and helicopters were shown in action, and more than 50 various models of special equipment adopted by the troops also were shown during the demonstration program.

An exclusive feature of ISSE 2011 is it is demonstrating integrated approach to ensuring safety and security. All Federal ministries and agencies dealing with the issues of safety and security will join their efforts in order to organize and hold mutual exhibition and to show their close cooperation in solution of tasks and challenges facing them. This approach will provide effective cooperation between authorities and representatives of the Russian average and small-scale business. It, undoubtedly, will promote introduction of domestic developments in the field of safety to the prevention and liquidation of consequences of anthropogenic accidents, as well as crime and terrorist threats prevention.


The next anniversary International Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition will take place on 22-25 May, 2012.
